META DECK ANALYSIS, BLACKWINGS

A bit surprised. Blackwing has dropped in popularity and seems like nobody plays them anymore. Is that true? Hitting Allure and Black Whirlwind really hurts them so much? We'll see then. Blackwing is the 1st 5d's archtype that is proven to be good. They are aggressive, fast and strong. Blackwing monsters generally have high ATK, they get even stronger when supported by Kalut. They can synchro, use their graveyard effectively with Vayu and Blizzard, they can search upon normal summon via Black whirlwind, they can main anti-meta cards like Royal Oppression and Skill Drain and still works, they even can OTK or push heavy damage by swarming. I see no point for them to be bad. But why? No one plays them anymore

In this format, Blackwing's players have to admit that Blackwing is under the shadow
of X-Saber and Infernity. This 2 decks have owned everything in this format. However, some deck like Gladiator Beast still can stand a chance in this meta mainly because of thier control power. Blackwing who lack of control power thus lose out.Armor Master used to be good in Stardust format, which Armor Master can easily kill Stardust. But in a format with all one for one removal running around, I doubt it will. D.D. Crow, yeah! It's another card that helps Blackwing in this format. No deck can run it so well except Blackwing. When you don't need it, there is Allure and Icarus. Not yet mention DAD. This card is really well-fixed in Blackwing. It's bacause of Vayu, Blizzard and D.D. Crow. Vayu removes 2 Dark, Blizzard remove 1 Dark, D.D. Crow add 1 Dark in your graveyard. So, here is an advice. Blackwing Players don't give up, just wait for another list. Another point to add, Blackwing and Gladiator Beast are the decks that guard the format for Konami. Both of them make sure the format is under control and make all tier 2 or below decks unplayable during the exchange of the format.
