META DECK ANALYSIS - THE GLADIATOR BEAST

I can't remember how long this deck is around. Maybe 3 years or more. It's always one of the great deck choice for every format, simply because it's so versatile. And it can always control over your opponent. Compared to other tier 1 deck, this deck seems to be lack of some speed. However its control power make up for that. A simple War Chariot lock can shut down opponent's play. Or even more, Heraklinos backed-up by a set chariot for complete lock down. Your opponent must summon a monster big enough to take down Heraklinos or lose. Moreover, this deck is one of the most consistent deck due to it's toolbox play style and tag system. Fighting a Gladiator Beast is just like fighting the whole deck. Your opponent not just need to worry about your field, hand, but your deck as well. Even more to add, Gladiator Beast duelist seldom draw trash hand. None of your hand will be totally useles. No dead draw just make this deck better.

Futhurmore, the broken GB boss monster still exist. He is the best fusion ever created - Gladiator Beast Gyzarus. Gladiator Beast even try to build thier deck around him which maximising chance of Gyzarus spam. For instance, Prisma Gladiator Beast deck. Once he's out, you at least gain +1 card advantage. If he survive and attacked sucussfully, you creat even more advantage and finally contact into Heraklinos which lock down your opponent and your victory is almost ensured. Even with Bestiari at 1, it every easy to summon Gyzarus. Since there is proving ground, prisma and test tiger combo, spaming gyzarus is the way too consistant. All you need to care is D.D. Crow and Bottomless Trap Hole which can remove your Bestiari from play.
